On Good Friday we both had to work but got out a little early in honor of the holiday. And can I just add that it is a real shock to my system to work on Good Friday?! I was raised in the Bible Belt and Good Friday is for having fun with family and friends in remembrance of Jesus Christ, not WORKING!! Anyways...
Right after we got home, we were relaxing and trying to figure out our plans when Sis. Johnson called us up.
She was in need of some help on the church drama for Easter Sunday. So after running to the grocery store, we got ready and headed to the church. And just because my mind is completely random today, I wanted to add that I love love love the peace that surrounds me when I step into this church. Being raised in this wonderful truth, I have been in many churches but there is something that reaches into my soul and literally causes me to exhale my worries & fears and breathe in all that is God when I am here. Maybe it is the calm and reassurance that comes from knowing their are saints praying all the time here or the music that reminds you of God's love and sacrifice for us? I really can't explain it but I love it.
Ok back to topic at hand :)
Friday night turned into an impromptu little service at the church, when we were suprised by visitors. Then several men went on outreach while everyone that was in the drama hung around for practice. Sis. J wanted me to be in charge of costumes for her. Crazy times! Eventually they had pizza, chips, cookies and soda brought in for everyone. Of course, my lovely husband had already hit up Taco Bell for me! ;) The best thing was when I tried to pour red soda so the kids would not spill it, and I sprayed my whold body down with it! I was mortified. Very rough times!
Around 11 Daniel went home with Soren Kate and I waited on the next practice to end. After it was over, me, Sis J, Sis Pickens and Linda drove across town to the new Supercenter Walmart to buy supplies to create a rock wall. We were so tired that we were hilariously laughing at the craziest things! Sis J also started me on a new cravine, Tabasco Cheezits! Yummy! Sis Pickens dropped me off at the house around 2ish. I was exhausted!!
Saturday- We slept in until around 9 and then got up for our busy day. Daniel went to get Ally then they went to his work so he could put in a few hours. Linda showed up at the house to get me so that we could go pick up costumes for the drama. I was dragging but managed to finally get Soren Kate dressed and us out the door. I was rush rush the rest of the day! Seriously. I had my husband even come to the church to help me finish costumes. I was last minute trying to make a bloody robe and a crown of thorns for Jesus! Talk about pressure! Finally we got finished and loaded the Johnson's and church family on the RV and sent them to Fresno for the first performance of the weekend. Here are some pics from the day at the church! I had to take some cute ones of my baby girl...
Josh on the cross! Preacher's kids are the best ;)
Because of their hectic schedule, we offered to keep Jarah for the Johnsons. Ally and Jarah had so much fun! Seriously! It was the first time we had someone besides family stay over with Ally and she was too cute! They rode all over in the Barbie Jeep, played with the kitchen, played babies. They had spaghetti o's (nutritious right?) for dinner then took a bath and played with body paint and washable crayons. After they had a bath they played with the play vacuum cleaner and wore their sunglasses and pj's around the house. It was so cute! They are so opposite in looks but so alike in attitudes! Ally has straight brown hair, brown eyes and dark skin and Jarah has curly red hair, blue eyes and white milky skin. Both are just gorgeous even if I say so myself! Eventually they crashed out after reading books in the bed.
Ok I will be back later to finish with Easter Sunday!
