On Course

I am sooo far behind in posting this but I wanted to make sure and get these pics up.  A couple of weeks ago, our Pastor, Bro. Johnson, invited us to a youth conference in Merced.  Daniel had heard of it before but I hadn't.  It was last minute and we were juggling some things at the time but The Johnsons offered so we made the effort.  Both of us got it cleared at work to take that Friday, March 12 off.  So Thursday night after work and me going by the consignment sale, we loaded up and headed to Merced.

We got there really late like after midnight and with a little one that is always fun, right?  We got checked into our fabolous hotel room that had been reserved for us and settled into a bed with a delicious down comforter!  Seriously the best ever.

We got up early the next morning and after a trip to CVS for forgotten pantyhose, we were off to the conference.  Folks, I have to tell you that it was some of the best preaching I have ever heard!  Not only that but I have never seen young people crying and weeping and giving theirself in consecration like I saw there.
I made a vow right then and there that I would do everything in my power to attend and support this conference in every way!

It was Apostolic at its best.  I will post more later on the messages that we heard.  Simply awesome and soul searching.

Here are a few pics from the conference:

My husband is bugging me to update the blog.  I know I am a *huge* slacker but I am actually working (gasp) and really don't have time at the moment.  So... I took a small recess to post an update for him.  Let's see if a trip down memory lane will keep him occupied for the next while...

   Love ya lots hon!!  ;)

Busy Bees

Yep, we have been busy busy bees this weekend.  Fun times but mama girl here is exhausted.  Totally.worn. out.

Daniel was in charge of the Jr. Conqueror's rally for the section on Saturday, so the last few nights we were busy planning everything.  On Thursday night we went to Marie Callender's to meet some new friends to help with the planning.  Bro. JL works with the local kid's program at the host church, so he & my husband have been planning this event together.  We had a great time over dinner and actually kind of lost track of what we were there for  :)!  It was a good night and we hope to meet up with them again soon!  Here are some pics of us and baby girl before we left the house...

And this is my current fav pic!  It is what happens when I try to take her pic now.  She attacks...

I woke up early Saturday morning and ran out to hit the garage sales.  This is a guilty pleasure of mine that I adore!  It just doesn't seem to happen often enough lately.  Daniel was totally ok with me leaving Soren Kate with him, so they got to spend a few hours of Daddy & Daughter time.  I am sure Soren Kate was amening the preaching tape daddy was listening to when I got home!  ;)   I was thrilled because I got baby girl a walker for a buck!  Yep, $1.  And I scored a sweet globe for the house for another buck.  Good times.

Later in the day we went to the Jr. Conqueror's rally.  Daniel's mom, dad and aunt Dorothy came down and met us there so they could spend some time with the girls.  It went over really good and all the kids enjoyed the puppets and the skits planned out for them.  We put together snack bags for all of them when they left.  Ally got all shy on us when we got to the event and walked in to a room full of strange kids.  She sit in her chair and tried her hardest not to smile at everything, trying her best to remain moody and nonchalant.  So, I had to take a picture to remind her some day down the road about this...

And here is Miss Priss sitting on Lynnzie's lap eating Sis. Gorman's lipgloss!  :)

After we were done, we went to La Tapatia with the family and then to our house.
The girls had a great time playing with nona and papa and were totally exhausted by bedtime.

About midnight Soren woke up crying hysterically.  She was sooo congested and could not breathe through her nose.  We looked all over and could not find our Little Noses so at 12:30am I was chilling in the shower with her, steaming the stuffiness out of her nose.  We prayed that God would give her rest that night after that.  And he answered as always and baby girl slept.  We are exhausted still from it but praise the lord that she slept.

So that is our weekend through Saturday.  Honestly I don't even have the energy to blog about Sunday yet but I will get there one day!  Lots of love!!

~*9 Months*~

Time is flying by these days and I totally forgot to record it here, but my baby turned 9 months last week!

I am happy but sad in a sense to because she is growing sooo sooo fast. Where is my squishy little newborn?

Obviously not here now...

Can you see why unpacking is going so slow?  My little helper tends to distract me from my duties  ☺

Soren Kate, you are the joy in our day!  We love to walk into daycare at the end of the workday and see your face light up!  You start bouncing and grunting, saying dada and within seconds you are on a mission to reach one of us.  You are into so much stuff around the house.  You aren't fully crawling (even though I have spotted you rocking on those knees the past few days) but you are army crawling everywhere!  No where is safe from you now.  Mrs. Anita tells us that you chase the other kids at daycare already.  When you crawl, one leg is bent at the knee with your foot sticking up in the air.  Everyone laughs and says it is your antenna.
We love you precious girlie!

You are in love with your daddy!  He gets you out of the carseat every morning at daycare and starts kissing on you and loving you.  He hands you to me so I can walk you in and as soon as I start to walk away you turn around and watch your daddy.  You watch him all the way inside!  It is the cutest thing and he makes Mrs. Anita so happy to see how much he loves you!  Many times you fall asleep in his arms on the bed or the couch...

We have been very busy this month and constantly on the go.  You got to go to your cousin Ethan's birthday party in Montebello a few weekends ago.  It was so much fun for you!!   Mommy took you into the bounce house and you loved it!  Cousin Melissa let you borrow Ethan's clip on high chair for the day and it worked out perfect.  Daddy was scared it would fall off with you but it didn't!

The next day we took you and Ally down the the Santee Alley in the fashion district of LA.  You were fascinated with all the people and mommy & daddy enjoyed the shopping and all the food.  ☺

You are so cute now when we go out to eat.  You are now riding in a *big girl* (convertible) seat, so no more carrier for the restaurants.  We have started sitting you in the high chair and you love it!  You play with toys and reach for our food.  We went out the other night with you to an italian restaurant and you loved the bread!  Here is a pic right before we went out...

Mentioning food, girl you love to eat!  You have two little teeth on the bottom with the cutest tiniest gap ever!  You have been teething really bad and you have four teeth about to come in on top.  That should make things interesting for a while! ☺   You are still eating baby food and drinking about 6 bottles a day but we have added a few things for you.  You love Baby Mum mums, Gerber puffs and Yogurt bites!  When you see the snacks come out you get all excited.  We also give you bananas sliced up and bread.  Recently we added regular english peas to the list and you love love love them!  I cooked them as if I would for Daddy and I and you did great with them.  Here is the proof...
You made a huge mess!  You had it in your eyebrows, your hair, your ears and your nose!  It was too cute!!

On your 9 month birthday you went to the doctor's office.  Fun times.  No really not.  You do not like going there at all now.  It probaly has something to do with the emergency room visit you had this month.  You were playing between mom and dad on the bed, and turned around and twisted your arm behind your back.  You started screaming in pain which resulted in a 5hr visit at the ER and mommy staying home from work with you the next day.  From what we can gather, your arm popped out of socket but we got it back in and you were just very very sore.  Fast forward to the doctors office and the exam table.  You instantly made the connection and it all spiraled downhill from there.  It was so sad to see you crying like that.  According to the doc, you are now 21lbs and 5oz  & you are 28.5" long.  That is the 88% for weight and the 82% for heighth!
Way to go miss chunky monkey!  We love your little rolls!
Here you are at the doctor's visit right before going in...
(sorry so blurry, it was with my phone)

You have gotten really clingy lately, very unlike you.  You are wanting to cuddle way more which I love!  You reach for us when we walk into the room.  We love this!
You now have the tendency to burst into tears when strangers get close to you, which is not working out so well...  We will work on this!

Baby girl you are our complete sunshine and God knew what he was doing when he sent you to be with us!  We love you more than words could ever possibly express!!  You are the best, little froggie...
